Highland has long been known as a tick - and now also Lyme disease - hotspot, so we thought it was an ideal time and place to have a conversation with Dr Sally Mavin. Since 2020, she’s been the Director of the Scottish Lyme Disease and Tick-borne Infections Reference Laboratory in Inverness. She’s worked on Lyme disease as a clinical scientist for more than 20 years, and is passionate about improving the diagnosis of Lyme disease in patients in Scotland.
