Getting help with a dental problem
On this page
Are you worried about persistent mouth, tooth or gum problems?
Arrange an appointment with your dentist to get a dental check-up.
If you are registered with a dentist
- Contact your dental practice for an appointment. The dental practice will give you advice about the options available and guide you to make sure you get the right treatment.
- When your practice is closed, you should hear a message which provides details of their out-of-hours arrangements for providing advice and treatment.
- Outside normal working hours, if you have an urgent dental need, call NHS24 on 111 for out-of-hours emergencies.
If you are not registered with a dentist
- See dental practices currently registering adults and children for NHS services.
- Call the dental helpline for help with registration or emergency care.
- Outside normal working hours, if you have an urgent dental need, call NHS24 on 111 for out-of-hours emergencies.
