The Mackintosh Centre in Mallaig re-opened in November 2024.
November 2024: NHS Highland is delighted to announce that the Mackintosh Centre in Mallaig has re-opened. The return of residents and staff after a period of temporary closure is a welcome sight, and highlights our commitment to investing in social care across our remote and rural communities.
Karen-Anne Wilson, NHS Highland’s District Manager for Lochaber, said: “This would not have been possible without the hard work of the local community and our staff, and we are extremely grateful for their support. Thank you to everyone who has helped this valuable service to re-open.”
