Connecting Carers
Connecting Carers offer a wide range of services to help carers manage their role, including information, advice, and practical support. Their team can help you with things like accessing benefits, understanding your rights, and provide personalised Adult Carer Support Plans to help you get the support you need.

Mobilise
Mobilise offer a wide range of resources and support for carers, including financial toolkits, guidance on legal rights, and emergency planning advice. They help carers navigate complex systems, providing practical advice on accessing benefits, understanding financial entitlements, and managing your caring responsibilities. Mobilise also runs online peer support groups, where you can connect with others in similar situations.

Change Mental Health
Change Mental Health is committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of carers. They understand the unique challenges that carers face and provide services designed to improve your mental health. They offer support for managing stress, anxiety, and the emotional demands of caring. Change Mental Health also runs awareness days, events, and peer support groups to help you connect with others who understand your experience. Their goal is to ensure carers’ mental health is prioritised, and that you receive the care and support you need to stay well.

Partners In Advocacy
Partners In Advocacy offers advocacy services to help unpaid carers and the people they care for. They support carers by ensuring your voices are heard, particularly in challenging situations such as dealing with local authorities or accessing services. Partners In Advocacy can help you navigate difficult decisions, provide advice, and represent your interests in meetings. Their advocacy services are a great resource if you're feeling overwhelmed, unsure of your rights, or need support to ensure you and the person you care for receive the appropriate services.

Highland Hospice offers invaluable support to carers, particularly if you’re looking after someone with a life-limiting illness. They provide a range of services designed to support both the person you care for and you as a carer. The hospice offers respite care, emotional support, and end-of-life care, making sure both your well-being and the person you care for are looked after. Whether you need a break or professional advice, Highland Hospice’s team is there to help you navigate this difficult journey.

Helping Hands
Helping Hands is a support service that offers practical help to unpaid carers. They provide care at home services, respite options, and specialist care, which can take some of the pressure off you as a carer. Whether you need help with personal care, household tasks or just need some time for yourself.

Befrienders Highland
Befrienders Highland connects people who feel isolated, including carers, with volunteers who provide regular social contact and support. If you’re feeling isolated as a carer or simply need someone to talk to, Befriending Highlands can help. Their services provide a listening ear, companionship, and the opportunity to build supportive relationships with others.

Alzheimer Scotland
Alzheimer Scotland offers dedicated services to carers of people with dementia, including those in the Highland region. If you’re caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia, Alzheimer Scotland can provide emotional support, practical advice, and specialised training. They offer support groups, respite care, and one-to-one advice, helping you navigate the challenges of caring for someone with dementia.

Thriving Families
Thriving Families is a Scottish charity dedicated to supporting families in the Highlands who have children and young people (up to age 25) with additional support needs. They offer independent, rights-based information, advice, and support to help families navigate challenges and access necessary services.

Office of the Public Guardian
The Office of the Public Guardian provide services for power of attorney (POA). This allows carers to make important decisions on behalf of a loved one who can no longer manage their own affairs. This includes financial matters, property, and personal welfare. Having a POA in place ensures peace of mind and legal protection when making essential care decisions.
