Community invited to visit Strathburn House

02nd April 2025

NHS Highland is pleased to confirm that Strathburn House in Gairloch will re-open in late spring 2025.

Strathburn House care home was temporarily closed in July 2024 due to staffing challenges, and the home has successfully recruited to a number of positions to support residents to be admitted into the home.

And members of the community are being invited to come along and visit the home ahead of an Open Day on Wednesday 9 April 2025.

Kevin MacIver, Manager at Strathburn House, said: “We are delighted to confirm that the care home will re-open in late spring. This is the culmination of a lot of hard work behind the scenes from a number of people and I want to thank them for their efforts in supporting this vital resource to remain at the heart of the community.

“We are opening the doors for members of the community to pop in and have a chat with staff between 10am and 4pm, from Monday 7 to Friday 11 April. There is no need for an appointment - we look forward to welcoming you to Strathburn House.”
