During routine maintenance it has been identified that there has been a potential risk of contamination to the hot water supply in the tower block of Raigmore Hospital. .
Appropriate disinfection measures have taken place but for further assurance we will carry out a programme of testing and verification.
Until that testing is complete, additional processes such as water filtering and flushing will be put in place as a precautionary measure.
These actions will reduce any residual risk to patients and staff.
