Due to the red warning which has been issued for the area, Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is rescheduling non-urgent appointments in hospital and community settings on Friday 24 January 2025.

The HSCP has attempted to contact patients and service users today (Thursday 23 January) to advise them that their appointment will be rescheduled.

If you are not contacted and do not require urgent care, please do not take any risks travelling to hospitals or health and social care facilities. Visitors are also advised to observe travel guidance issued by Police Scotland.

The HSCP has advised GP practices to avoid unnecessary travel with services delivered remotely where possible.

Essential maternity, community nursing and midwifery community visits will go ahead as planned. If you have a planned visit that does not go ahead, you will be contacted to reschedule.

We will review the position throughout Friday and will issue further guidance through our media channels. Our health and social care colleagues are working hard to ensure we keep people safe and maintain essential services.
