There is just one week left to apply to become a member of the NHS Highland Board.
We are looking for people from a wide range of backgrounds who share our values and can bring a variety of views, particularly from those groups which are under-represented on our Board.
In particular, we are keen to hear from people who have experience in audit and risk management as well as experience in oversight of clinical and care governance in the NHS, local authority or this/independent sectors. We also value knowledge of issues affecting ethnic minority communities and young people in relation to health and social care.
NHS Highland Chair Sarah Compton-Bishop said, “The NHS is one of the most valued institutions in the country and being able to help shape its future and provide assurance that it is working effectively, efficiently and in the best interest of our patients is a hugely rewarding job.
“We need a range of experience and views on our Board to reflect our population and I would encourage anyone who is passionate about health and care to apply, no matter how much or how little formal experience you may have. You’ll receive support and training if appointed, and I promise we are a friendly bunch!”
