NHS Highland is seeking new members for its Board.
We are looking for people from a wide range of backgrounds who share our values and can bring a variety of views, particularly from those groups which are under-represented on our Board.
In particular, we are keen to hear from people who live in Argyll and Bute, those with experience of change and innovation, and people management skills. We also value knowledge of issues affecting ethnic minority communities and young people in relation to health and social care.
A live online information session will be held at 4pm on Wednesday 2 August - join the meeting using this link. Hear from our Chair and Chief Executive about what is involved in being a Board member, and have the chance to ask your questions.
NHS Highland Chair Sarah Compton-Bishop said, “The NHS is one of the most valued institutions in the country and being able to help shape its future and provide assurance that it is working effectively, efficiently and in the best interest of our patients is a hugely rewarding job.
“We need a range of experience and views on our Board to reflect our population and I would encourage anyone who is passionate about health and care to apply, no matter how much or how little formal experience you may have. You’ll receive support and training if appointed, and I promise we are a friendly bunch! Do come along to the information session to learn more.”
Applications are open from 26 July to 21 August 2023 and you can apply online here.
