Local communities across Lochaber are invited to attend a drop-in stakeholder event for updates on the redesign of health and social care in the area.
The event will be held in the Nevis Centre, An Aird Road, Fort William from 1pm to 6pm on Tuesday 6th June. It will be an opportunity for local people to speak to NHS Highland clinicians and hear about the future service model of care in Lochaber.
Louise Bussell, NHS Highland’s Board Nurse Director and Senior Responsible Officer for the redesign, said: “We held an internal workshop in April which enabled us to start to finalise the future service model in Lochaber. Clinical leaders from the Belford presented their vision for the future of services and this helped us to identify areas that require further discussion.
“Helpful discussions are ongoing with staff teams to answer the questions raised in the workshop and clarify the outstanding details of the proposed service model detail. This will then be agreed by the Project Board on 23 May and we will be pleased to present the detail at this stakeholder event.
“The event will run from 1pm to 6pm and will be a drop-in format with opportunities for attendees to speak to our teams, ask questions and give us your views.”
