Miles Mack, a GP with Dingwall Medical Group, has been recognised and awarded an OBE for services to general practice.
Miles, who has worked with the Dingwall practice for 30 years, is delighted about the award.
Dr Mack said: “I am very humbled to have been honoured in this way. For the last 30 years I have been very lucky to work in a great practice with excellent colleagues and in a community that it has been a joy to care for. This has allowed me to become involved in work with the Royal College of General Practitioners and culminated in leading the Royal Colleges across Scotland over the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I would like to thank my family, staff and partners in my practice, and everyone else who has supported me in the work that this award recognises.”
Dr Claire Copeland, Deputy Medical Director Community, said: "I am delighted that Miles has been honoured for services to General Practice. His work as a GP and the support he has given and continues to give for Primary Care is to be admired. It is fantastic to see him honoured in this way."
