Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) are inviting unpaid and family carers of all ages to take part in our Unpaid Carers Strategy Consultation 2023.
We want to hear directly from carers about the most helpful, effective, and important ways we could improve support and services for young and adult carers.
An unpaid carer is someone who provides unpaid help to a friend or family member needing support, perhaps due to illness, older age, disability, a mental health condition or an addiction. Informal carers provide invaluable assistance to the people they look after. This is often a rewarding experience but can be very demanding and, for many carers, detrimental to their physical and mental wellbeing. It is likely that most of us will become a carer at some stage in our lives.
Kirsty MacKenzie, Argyll and Bute HSCP, Carers Act Implementation Officer said: "The HSCP and our partners recognise the hugely valuable role our unpaid carers play in caring for their loved ones, family, and friends.
"We are looking forward to the feedback and outcomes of the consultation, and continuing to work with our partners to further improve our support and services for unpaid carers across Argyll and Bute."
The HSCP would be grateful to receive responses from people and organisations to give us their views, experiences, and suggestions via our online Unpaid Carers Strategy Consultation by visiting:

The consultation will close on 16 July 2023.
