NHS Highland's Technology Enabled Care (TEC) team is hosting an exciting, interactive drop-in event to showcase a range of digital technologies and how they can help ordinary people.
The event will take place at the Leonardo Hotel (formerly Jurys Inn) in Inverness on Thursday 27 April from 11am – 3pm. There will be the opportunity to talk to suppliers, see demonstrations, try out some of the technology and learn how it can help people live safely, happily, healthily, and independently at home.
Patients, healthcare staff, social care staff, family members and carers are welcome to drop in at any time.
The day will feature many organisations who are able to help people use digital technologies, and companies who offer digital technologies and gadgets for ordinary people to buy, like Possum, Alzheimer’s Scotland, Buddi, Sight Action and AbilityNet.
Pam Dudek, Chief Executive of NHS Highland, said: “NHS Highland has always been at the forefront of technology enabled care and the promotion of digital technologies, so we are especially proud to be hosting this home-grown event for the second time, and to have attracted so many organisations to come along to showcase their technology.”
People can register their interest to let the TEC team know they are coming. The event is free to attend and there is no need to book a place.
