Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has launched year 4 of the Living Well (Self Management) community capacity building fund.
It is open to third sector organisations that currently deliver services or support to adults over the age of 18 living in Argyll and Bute.
The Living Well strategy makes a commitment to support people living with long-term health conditions and those at risk of developing them. The strategy focuses on supporting people to manage their own health, and supporting communities to build groups and networks which can link people together.
Applications are invited from third sector organisations that can support the HSCP to deliver on the Living Well Strategy. Bids must provide measurable value, lasting change and positive impact on the lives of people living in Argyll and Bute.
This year we are looking to fund third sector projects which have a particular focus on:
- supporting volunteer wellbeing - these can be activities that you provide to support the wellbeing of the volunteers in your organisation
- reducing isolation and improving community networks - e.g. through befriending or peer support
- supporting healthy weight or access/cost around food, via sustainable food programmes in our communities - e.g. community garden projects
Samantha Campbell, Argyll and Bute Interim Health Improvement Principal said: “I am really pleased the funding has opened to applications. The grants will support community-based activities aimed at improving wellbeing, reducing isolation and sustainable food projects. They are aimed at supporting the resilience of some of the fantastic organisations we have throughout Argyll and Bute through what is a difficult period for individuals and our communities.
“I would encourage organisations that can offer effective and sustainable services that meet the criteria to apply.”
