The next in a series of community events held in Nairn to help the local population understand what community led support is available to them will be taking place in the High Life Highland Library, High Street, Nairn on the 24 November from 9:30 to 12:30.
Here For Nairn is a series of community pop-up hubs which highlight all the ways in which your community can help you. Past events have proved successful and organisers are looking forward to the next one.
Colleagues from NHS Highland and 3rd Sector representatives will be in attendance to help the local community in Nairn understand what community led support is available to them.
Pamela Roberts, Nairn Enablement and Care at Home Manager from NHS Highland said: “Feedback on these events from those in attendance has been positive and we look forward to them continuing.
“By helping our local communities understand and be aware of what support is out there and how they can access this from the various community groups that exist locally we are enabling them to explore the wide range of options and services available to them in their community.”
These are drop-in events which will allow people to come along at a time and chat to those in attendance. It will highlight all the different ranges of support available, not only from organisations such as the NHS or Council, but also voluntary groups who can also provide support and advice to their local community.
