The first of a series of events planned to help the local community in Nairn understand what community led support is available to them takes place at the end of this month (June).
The Nairn Drop-In Community Hub will be held on the last Thursday of every month, starting on the 30 June, in the Library, High Street, Nairn from 09:30 – 12:30.
The Hub is a place where you can meet people from groups and voluntary organisations allowing you to explore the wide range of options and services that are available within the community locally. Colleagues from Health and Social Care will also be in attendance.
Our aim is for the Hub to help the local community in getting them the information and advice they need in order to remain in their own home, help them find support, such as equipment, transport or help at home, to allow them to stay independent, and provide advice for carers about support available to them in the area.
Pamela Roberts, Nairn Enablement and Care at Home Manager from NHS Highland said: “We want to ensure our community our listened to and supported. We’ve a range of people and services who will be at the Nairn drop-in each month to not only provide information on support available but also let them know what is happening in their local area.”
This is a drop-in event which will allow people to come along at a time that suits them and chat to those in attendance.
