If symptoms are persistent or severe, your GP can refer you to services to improve mental health.
Further support, if needed, may be provided by link workers or primary mental health care staff based in your community.
Ask your GP if you think it might be helpful to have more support and input. Your GP will be able to refer you to the right level of intervention to improve your symptoms.

Please speak with your GP if your symptoms are persistent, or become challenging and interfere with your ability to self-manage diabetes, or impact on your overall functioning.
There are a range of specialist mental health services and your GP will assess and recommend the most suitable treatment for you.
