Care at Home careers

Our Care at Home services operate seven days a week to help people retain their independence at home, by supporting with daily living tasks in an enabling way.

The staff who work within the service are trained to support with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, simple meals, medication and continence care.

These services are registered and regulated by the Care Inspectorate and all workers hold a professional registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

Roles available within the Care at Home sector

There are various roles within Care at Home services, ranging from entry level support workers up to supervisory and managerial roles, as well as administrative support roles.

Care at Home can provide you with a career where you can earn while you learn, supporting people in the place they call home, with the people and things that matter to them.

For entry level applicants, qualifications or experience are not always necessary - you can earn whilst you learn. Support and training will be provided.

Independent providers of Care at Home services

NHS Highland has contractual arrangements in place with a range of organisations that provide Care at Home services across many areas. All providers are registered and regulated by the Care Inspectorate and work to the same standards and codes of practice.

The independent sector includes third sector, charitable, non-profit and private organisations.
