Maternity and neonatal service redesign

NHS Highland and NHS Grampian have joined forces to improve the provision of maternity care and better serve the needs of women and families across Moray and Highland.
The Joint Maternity Redesign programme had included improvements to facilities at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
In common with other heath boards, NHS Highland has been advised to stop spending on capital development. As a result, we are assessing our capital projects, including the refurbishment and extension of Raigmore maternity services. We know people have put time and effort into supporting this project, which recently gained planning permission, and this news will be hard to hear. We are in discussions with Scottish Government and NHS Grampian about how we can mitigate the impact of this change and will share more information when we have it.

Maternity Collaborative newsletters
